GIRLS!!! Do I have a chance with her?

So this girl I know (let's call her Sarah) was helping me out to hook up with her friend (let's call her sphincter) until she told me the day before I was gonna ask her out, sphincter had a boyfriend. So ever since then, me and sarah have been talking and really connecting as good friends. I told her "i think you are a good friend and a good person, but..." and she said "thanks, but what?" and I said "i would totally go out with you, but I know you have a boyfriend, and I don't want to be rude". To which she replied "yeah.maybe if i didnt have one.haha." so... would I ever have a chance with her? I added her on myspace and were pretty good friends now. HELP!
