I have a question about GBS and pregnancy if you know please answer?

Okay I am 6 months pregnant and I have GBS which is Group B Strep....My midwife gave me the spill of about 40% of woman get it and its fine and treatable with penicillin while in labor....anyways I have been doing some research and I am starting to worry even though the chances are low there are chances my baby can still get GBS which can cause death in some cases anyways my question is does anybody know whether or not its better to do c-section if you have it....or can you request a c-section if you have it I am just worried now and freakin out I will talk to my midwife more about it but if you have any info to my question that would be great thanks!!!!
